Nothing Ear (1) are official: the first product from Carl Pei's Nothing
Well, the first product to come from Nothing is a set of earbuds — the Nothing Ear (1). They are about to be unveiled today and hopefully throw some more light on what the hubbub around Nothing is all about. Or not, we will see.
Nothing Ear (1) design

Well, the Nothing Ear (1) earbuds have been announced! They are fully transparent and have that “geeky tech design meets style” look to them. Since Nothing chose this product to be the ambassador for its mission, the transparency here is symbolic. It wants you to be able to peer into the product, examine the clean design, notice the quality of internal materials used.
The design and sound of the Ear (1) have been developed in tight partnership with Teenage Engineering — a Swedish company that specializes in boutique synthesizers and other consumer tech.
Nothing Ear (1) specs

We’ve got 3 mics on each Nothing Ear (1) earbud taking care of the noise-canceling — two on the outside, one behind the silicone tip, to keep tabs on what’s actually going on inside your ears.
Battery life: 4.5 hours on a single charge, 22 hours more in the charging case, with ANC always on. The charging case supports wireless charging.
The Ear (1) is compatible with both Android and iOS and has a companion app, which lets you monitor their status and fine-tune sound through EQ presets. There's even a "find my earbuds" feature in the app, which makes the buds emit a loud noise.
The Nothing Ear (1) will cost €99 in Europe, $99 in the USA. Availability to be known soon, over at the nothing.tech website.
